Hollywood arrives in El Dorado Hills for movie screening
The “Sexiest Woman Alive” graced El Dorado Hills Town Center Saturday night for a red carpet photo shoot and a special screening of “Battle in Seattle,” a dramatization of the World Trade Organization protests of 1999. Esquire magazine gave Charlize Theron the lusty label last year.

SEV Founding partner John Lewis and Charlize Theron at the Premier of "Battle in Seattle", a film Lewis and fifteen other SEV members helped fund. "The due diligence we have to do in researching our investments can be very tedious and time consuming", Lewis adds, with a knowing smile.

Marquiss Wind Power Inc. a Folsom California-based company which manufactures roof-top wind turbines, announced that it closed a $1.3 million Series A round of financing. Velocity Venture Capital led this funding round, with participation from Strategis Early Ventures.

SEV participated in Redwood Palms first three slates of films, which included "Battle in Seattle", which premiered in El Dorado Hills with star Charlize Theron and Writer/Director Stuart Townsend in attendance.
